App UI/UX Design

Taxi.eu

Rebuilt the booking experience for one of Europe's largest taxi networks, from onboarding to payment.

Role
Owned the core flow redesign (onboarding, booking, and payment) as part of the product team; also handled the app's motion design.
Outcome
Shipped across every Taxi.eu market: 9 countries and 160+ cities.

Context

Taxi.eu is one of Europe’s largest taxi networks, operating across 9 countries and 160+ cities. When the project started, Uber had just redefined what a ride-hailing app could feel like, and Taxi.eu’s existing app wasn’t anywhere close to that standard. It was outdated, inconsistent, and losing ground fast.

The challenge

The team took the app apart from the ground up, not a facelift but a full rethink of the core user flows: onboarding, booking, and payment. Those flows were mine to own. Working from the personas and user journeys we mapped, I traced where people dropped off and why, then redesigned onboarding, booking, and payment from lo-fi wireframes through to hi-fi prototypes, validated with A/B tests and analytics.

Motion

Alongside the flow work I handled the app’s microanimations, working with illustrators and developers to design motion that supported the experience and optimising every export so implementation stayed clean for the dev team.

Outcome

The redesigned app shipped across all markets. A product that had fallen behind the industry benchmark was brought back to competitive standard, with a user experience built on real behaviour data, not assumptions.
